KUCHING CITY TOUR
(Duration: 3 Hours)

This Comprehensive tour will show you the preserved colonial style buildings & excellent modern architecture in Kuching City. The tour will take you to Cat Monument, Chinese Temple, Cat Museum, Fort Magherita, Suspension Bridge, Malay Village, Old State Mosque, Local Market, Kuching Waterfront and the main attraction, the world famous Sarawak Museum, one of the best museums in South-East Asia.

Experience a cruise boat ride along the Sarawak River will give you a panoramic view of Kuching. See many historical buildings and beautiful landmarks such as Fort Margherita, Astana, State Mosque, Malay traditional houses and many riverine boats. The most fascinating is the great contrasts on both sides of the river, from progresses and industries on one side to the idyllic village life style on the other side.

“See Sarawak in half day” is the claim made by Sarawak Cultural Village, a unique award winning living museum offering an excellent introduction to local cultures and lifestyle. It is located at the foothill of the legendary Mount Santubong, fronting the South China Sea. The village is also called “Living Museum” because natives live there and make handicraft. It has seven representative ethnic houses - Bidayuh Longhouse, Iban Longhouse, Penan Hut, Orang Ulu Longhouse, Melanau House, Malay House and Chinese Farm House. Observe the lifestyles, arts, crafts, games, foods, clothes and music of 7 major cultures of Sarawak. Enjoy yourself with a fascinating performance of the multi-cultural dance in the village’s own theatre. There is also a good restaurant and handicrafts shop on site.

Semenggoh Santuary is situated about 22KM from Kuching. The tour will take 30 minutes by car and 30 minutes of jungle walk through primary forests. This Centre is a temporary home for various endangered wildlife of Sarawak especially Orang Utans which have been rescued from captivity. Take a glimpse of these strange Wild Men of Borneo, Hornbills, Honey Bears, Gibbons, Deers, Porcupines. The animals are trained to adapt their natural environment. The main attraction is the semi-wild orang utans that often come to the feeding area.

Sarawak’s oldest National Park which offers various ecosystems (including coastal, estuarine, fresh water stream, rainforest and mangrove) that can be found in Sarawak. Bako’s mangrove forest is home to the rare Proboscis Monkey, only found in Borneo. Some species like the Long Tailed Macaques, Silver leaf Monkeys, Monitor Lizards and Bearded Pig can also be easily seen. Take a jungle trekking on a number of trails for observation of nature. The coastline of the park is indented by sandy bays providing excellent swimming ground.

* Bako can be reached within 40 minutes drive from the city and 20 minutes by boat for the jetty.

This national park is where you can sometimes view the largest flower in the world - the Rafflesia, which grows up to 3 feet wide. When inbloom, the flower emits a foul smell attracting flies and other insects. This park also offers scenic walks and challenging jungle treks. The chalets and hostels make plausible accommodation.

This tour begins with a one hour drive through beautiful countryside covered with lush vegetation and dotted with rubber estates, pepper gardens and paddy fields. Annah Rais is a Bidayuh (Land Dayak) longhouse of 60 doors, one of the best-preserved in Borneo, and built almost entirely of bamboo. It is also a thriving tribal community where you can meet and interact with the residents, observe them going about their everyday tasks, and appreciate the superb quality of their traditional handicrafts.

DAY 01: KUCHING /LEMANAK (L/D)
0900 hrs - Depart from hotel to Lemanak longhouse. This tour is specially designed for the more adventurous who love to see the original way of life of the Ibans living in longhouses. This river with beautiful unspoiled nature is situated some 232 km away from Kuching and can be reached by coach in about 4 hrs and by native longboat to go upstream for an hour to reach our destination. Along this river lives the famous Ibans who were once the most feared head hunters. They live harmoniously as farmers, fishing and hunting in the wilderness of Borneo jungles. Late afternoon, arrive at Nanga Kesit or Serubah longhouse. The highlight of the tour in the traditional welcome dance “Ngajar” in the full ceremonial regalia and rice wine “tuak” drinking session before retiring for the night. Overnight at guest house.

DAY 02: LEMANAK / KUCHING (B/L)
After breakfast, witness cockfighting game and blowpipe demonstration, ferry down river to jetty. Then enroute to Kuching via Serian Ranchang Pool for lunch.

DAY 01: MIRI / MULU
Meet and transfer to Royal Mulu Resort. Afternoon, proceed to Deer & Lang Caves. Depending on weather condition bats can often be seen. Return to Resort.

DAY 02: MIRI / MULU (B/L)
After breakfast, proceed to jetty and a 30 minutes boat ride by longboat will take you to Wind & Clearwater Caves. Proceed by plank walk for another 10 minutes to Clearwater Caves. Picnic lunch at the Summer Hut. Transfer to Mulu Airport for your next destination.

DAY 01: MIRI / MULU
Meet and transfer to Royal Mulu Resort. Afternoon, proceed to Deer & Lang Caves. Bats may also be seen depending on the weather condition. Return to hotel for overnight.

DAY 02: MIRI / MULU (B/L)
After breakfast, proceed to jetty and a 30 minutes boat ride by longboat will take you to Wind & Clearwater Caves. Proceed by plank walk for another 10 minutes to Clearwater Caves. Picnic lunch at the Summer Hut. After enjoying the swim at the Clearwater pool, return to resort for overnight.

DAY 03: MIRI / MULU (B)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for return flight to Miri.

DAY 01: KUCHING / KOTA KINABALU (D)
Arrive Kota Kinabalu International Airport. Meet and transfer to Kinabalu Park with brief city tour. Dinner at Zen Restaurant. Overnight at Zen Garden Mt. Resort.

DAY 02: MOUNTAIN RETREAT (B/L/D)
American Breakfast at Zen Restaurant. Proceed for Poring Hot Spring Tour with lunch. Return to Kota Kinbalu enroute Mengkabong Fisherman Village. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 03: MANUKAN ISLAND (B/L/D)
American Breakfast at Hotel. Full day Manukan Island Excursion with lunch. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 04: KOTA KINABALU / KUCHING (B)
American Breakfast at Hotel. Transfer to airport for departure flight.
